Here's the Grinch I made. I think he turned out nicely as well. Unlike the pattern, I like to use yarn for the eyes.

The pattern was free: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-grinch-plush

I mixed a free pattern for the pot with improvisation based on multiples others for the leaves and the suspender.

Not sure why the eyes are weird even after blocking. Need to try it again.

I wind all my yarn into cakes. Hanks of course, but even skeins. I am curious what other fiber artist do when they work with their yarn. What format do you prefer when crocheting?

White is popcorn stitch, teal is bobble stitch. No pattern, I just decreased every third stitch in the alternate sc row.

This bag was great to make. Enough variation in the rows to keep me interested and quick to crochet. I used acrylic yarn from gifted stashes instead of cotton. It took 12 hours over 3 weeks. https://richtexturescrochet.com/uptown-market-bag-crochet-pattern/

Image of a crocheted wall hanging. Bark covered stick and copper s hooks support a cream colored crocheted background with 3D crocheted roses of different colors.

This is a link to Design Peak on Pinterest. They have a huge page of very interesting ideas. It's great for inspiration.

You can search patterns by quite a few criteria, like difficulty, technique, amount of yarn, etc.

I also love to browse the photos for inspiration and you can talk to other users.

Signups are free. No, I don't work for them.

I figured this community could use a little content! I freehand crocheted this bag last August using the magic circle to start the bottom, mosaic crochet for the body, double crochet for the flap, and spiral rope crochet for the straps. The button was purchased from a vendor on Etsy.
