Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company. Intel designs, manufactures and sells computer components and related products for business and consumer markets.

Intel supplies microprocessors for most manufacturers of computer systems, and is one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets found in most personal computers (PCs). It also manufactures chipsets, network interface controllers, flash memory, graphics processing units (GPUs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and other devices related to communications and computing. Intel has a strong presence in the high-performance general-purpose and gaming PC market with its Intel Core line of CPUs, whose high-end models are among the fastest consumer CPUs, as well as its Intel Arc series of GPUs.

Today, we can finally take the covers off Intel's latest CPU generation, the "Core Ultra" series, codenamed Arrow Lake. The Arrow Lake architecture is new for desktop systems, using a tile-based processor design, with the goal of moving away from a large monolithic chip based on the latest node and instead splitting the CPU into blocks, or "tiles," as they're commonly referred to.

Intel is going through a rough time right now, and things will likely get worse before they get better. The US chipmaker needed some good news, and the European judiciary system obliged with a recent ruling in the chipmaker's favor. A new judgment by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) cleared Intel of any wrongdoing in a decade-long case, upholding a decision from a lower court by rejecting the EU Commission's attempt to fine it for violating antitrust laws.f

Could this be the integrated graphics unit for Arrow Lake-H/HX (mobile)?

49

The delidding process involves removing the integrated heat spreader (IHS) from the top of the CPU. It's a risky move that can damage the chip if not done correctly, but it allows for direct cooling of the silicon dies inside, which is something hardcore overclockers love for pushing performance to the limit. Of course, it also voids your warranty.

Arrow Lake is expected to deliver significant efficiency improvements over the last generation.
