In the Affliction League, you'll be able to earn pieces of the exclusive Night Lotus Armour Set by completing 40 new challenges. At 4, 8, 12 and 16 challenges, you'll receive the Night Lotus Boots, Gloves, Body Armour, and Helmet respectively.

Additional tiers of this armour set are unlocked as you complete more challenges in the Affliction League. Completing challenges also grants you pieces of the Affliction Totem Pole Hideout decoration!

In Ruthless, you will receive the full Night Lotus Armour Set at 2 challenges, and each challenge completed after that will upgrade pieces of the set with the entire set fully upgraded once 8 challenges are completed.

Path of Exile: Affliction launches soon! In this news post, we've gathered all the information you need to know about what happens on launch day and how to start downloading early.

The realm goes down and patching begins at: Dec 08, 2023 4:00 PM (GMT) The servers go live at: Dec 08, 2023 7:00 PM (GMT)

The above times are displayed in your local time zone. You'll need to be logged into your account to see these. To change your local time, go to "My Account", "Manage Account" and "Edit Preferences".

If the timezone is displaying incorrectly for you, please disregard the above timer and refer to the countdown on the front page. Three hours before the end of the countdown, the realm will go down and patching will begin shortly after. When the countdown ends, the servers will be live and you'll be able to join the Affliction League!

The patch size for the update will be around 8-9GB on the standalone client and 8-9GB on Steam. We've also made a torrent available for this update which is around 37GB. Please keep in mind that this method, while available earlier, makes it a larger update as it includes all the existing client content. When patching begins for Path of Exile: Affliction you'll also have a few remaining files that you'll need to update as well.

This torrent only includes the GGPK file, so you'll need to copy it into your actual install folder once the patching server is up, no earlier than three hours before Path of Exile: Affliction launches. Please note that you can't use this GGPK file with the Steam client, Epic client and macOS.

Path of Exile: Affliction will launch on consoles at Dec 13, 2023 11:00 PM (GMT). Downtime will begin for deployment at approximately Dec 13, 2023 08:00 PM (GMT).

Don't forget, Twitch Drops are enabled for the launch of Path of Exile: Affliction! Watch for 4 hours of accumulated watch time on any channel streaming Path of Exile during the event and you'll be granted the Ice Tiger Pet! More information about Twitch Drops can be found here.

Keep in mind that if you haven't taken advantage of it yet, it's still possible to get one free Ancestor Mystery Box when you spend any amount of points in the store. NOTE: this is only possible once per account. Additional purchases do not grant additional mystery boxes.

Private Leagues for Path of Exile: Affliction are now available!

Those of you who are planning to play in a Private Affliction League at launch are now able to create them beforehand. Click here to set up your Private League (don't forget to double check the start time of your league upon creating)! Please note that you won't be able to participate in these events until they officially launch on December 8th (PST).

What time does it start?

The livestream will start at 12:30PM PST on November 30th, which is Nov 30, 2023 8:30 PM (GMT) in your local time. If in doubt, check out the countdown on the front page of our website.

What can I expect?

Prior to our livestream the folks over at PC Gamer will showcase an interview with Path of Exile 2 developers as part of the PC Gaming Show. Tune in to twitch.tv/pcgamer at 10AM PST to find out more!

We’ll start our livestream by revealing the latest Path of Exile 2 showcase before the trailer for Path of Exile: Affliction. We’ll then take you on a deep dive into all of the new content and features that are being introduced in the expansion.

Following the reveal ZiggyD will join us live for a Q&A with questions from Twitch chat. The entire livestream, including the Q&A will most likely be just over an hour long.

Will Twitch drops be enabled?

Yes, Twitch drops for the Huntsman Wings will be enabled from the start of the livestream until Dec 01, 2023 5:30 AM (GMT) (this is displayed in your local time) for all channels streaming Path of Exile during that time.

You will get the Huntsman Wings after 45 minutes of accumulated watch time on any channel streaming Path of Exile during the event. This means that the drop is guaranteed for everyone who has watched any Path of Exile stream for this amount of time. This promotion is available for all accounts.

Where can I view the reveals if I miss the livestream?

How to Participate

Just simply link your Path of Exile account to Twitch (see below) and watch the Path of Exile: Affliction livestream at www.twitch.tv/pathofexile, or any Path of Exile stream* for 45 minutes on Thursday, November 30th. Drops will be enabled from 12:30PM PST until 9:30PM PST.

You will get the Huntsman Wings after 45 minutes of accumulated watch time on any channel streaming Path of Exile during the event. This means that the drop is guaranteed for everyone who has watched any Path of Exile stream for this amount of time. This promotion is available for all accounts.

Linking your Path of Exile Account to Twitch

Visit your Twitch Settings page while logged in. If your account isn't connected, click the "Connect" button for Twitch under "Other Connections". Complete the process on Twitch and you will be redirected back to your Twitch Settings page. If your account is already connected, this page should say "Your Path of Exile account is currently linked to your Twitch account."

After you've accumulated enough watch time to earn your Huntsman Wings, you must redeem them from your Twitch Inventory before the promotional period ends. Then they will be available in your microtransactions list in Path of Exile.

There are several small quality of life improvements coming in Path of Exile: Affliction. One of these improvements is the ability to split currency stacks while trading.

Psuedo-casual because I take long breaks (obviously) and when I am playing it's usually only an hour or two a night. The last league I went through was 3.15 where I took a duelist through most of the atlas content. Why I don't consider myself a 'normal' casual player is because I used to be quite good at gaming (competitive ut99/guild wars scene) and feel like I can put together pretty decent PoE builds myself. I've never used a build guide.

I have a little bit of time to play and I'm working toward getting my old closed beta character to level 100 (currently 90). Things have changed in the two years I've been away, some for the good, some considerably worse.

The good:

My templar's build is very defensive--maxed out resists including chaos, 75% phys and spell block, lots of blinding going on, high armor, a bunch of renewable minion fodder. Offensively he's using SST with bleed stacking. He's got 42k tooltip dps and melts packs quickly. I hit about 120 million exp/hr going through delves.

Defense actually seems to work now. I've only been one-shotted a few times since coming back, which are my only deaths cause my guy's unstoppable otherwise since his life steal keeps him at full health practically non-stop.

I was impressed with the changes to the passive skill tree. There have a been a lot of nice additions made which look like they would support a lot more build diversity.

The continued time and effort put into endgame variety is noticeable.

I don't know if netcode has improved from 3.15 to now, but from back when lockstep first became a thing, OMG, so much better. I'm actually playing overnight at work via a mobile phone tether and it's doing fine. Good job on finally getting the netcode right.

Edit: Oh yeah, loot allocation seems to have gotten waaay more generous. I had two exalted drop in the course of about six hours the other day and I'm getting six socket items dropping left and right. Also map drop rates aren't problematic, so that's a very good change.

The bad:

I'm a little miffed that the unique map stash tab went away. I feel like something I paid for was taken away.

The absolutely terrible:

WTF has happened with rare mob health? Why do some gold randos have more health than map bosses? Why do I have to use an unset ring with frost bomb just to kill mobs with health regen? This is awful.

So, my first impulse once I figured out some mobs with really high health and health regen were basically immortal for my type of build was just to ignore them and go about my business. However, I'm playing mostly delve for quick exp and decent loot and some of the encounter bosses have the health regen mod so I couldn't complete the delve objective. They didn't stand a chance of killing me either, but my only option was to log out since you can't map out in-game until the objective is completed. Lame. Mega-lame, in fact.

Another byproduct of rando gold mobs having 300 trillion health is that your flask of corrupted blood immunity doesn't last anywhere near long enough for you to finish killing the mob before it's corrupted blood will wreck you. Corrupted blood has always been obnoxious, now it's just game breaking. So there are two things you have to devote skill points/gem slots for on the vast majority of solo builds and it's stupid.

I'm guessing the unbelievable amount of health some rares have is GGG's ham-fisted effort to try to acclimatize players to Chris's vision of a slower play style for PoE 2 but that ship sailed a long time ago. It's stupid and it needs to go away. I don't want to spend five minutes to kill a rare mob after having melted it's pack in 3 seconds.

I also could not kill the Oak boss in Fungal Hollow due to his life regen outpacing the damage I could do to him. This was even with constant spamming of Frost Bomb. Ugh.

With the year coming to an end, it's time to say goodbye to the 2023 Core Supporter Packs! These Supporter Packs will soon be leaving the store forever.

Each Core supporter pack contains points to spend in the store and exclusive in-game microtransactions which are only available in supporter packs and will not appear in the store. Select packs also contain physical items, like a Path of Exile t-shirt, a hoodie and signed Path of Exile Art Packs.

For almost a decade, we used the merchandise company J!NX for Path of Exile merchandise. They shut down late last year, and we've been transitioning to a new supplier since then. While we had hoped this transition would only take a few months, the process has unfortunately taken much longer than anticipated for some specific garments and sizes. This has resulted in unacceptable delays in some people receiving their merchandise. We're continuing to work with our new supplier to catch up on outstanding shipments, and prevent delays going forward. We're really sorry about this and we know you want to receive your items as soon as possible after ordering! Thank you for your patience while we work through this.

If you're interested in getting one of the 2023 Core Supporter Packs but you're not sure you'll be able to do so in time, we'd recommend setting up a payment plan which can reserve a pack for you for up to three months after the commencement of your plan. When the Ancestor Challenge League ends on PC at Dec 05, 2023 11:00 PM (GMT+2) (this is displayed in your local time), you will no longer be able to unlock the current items in Kirac’s Vault Pass. A new version of Kirac’s Vault Pass will be available at the launch of the Affliction expansion. If you don't want to miss out on the exclusive rewards in the current league, you can purchase your Kirac’s vault pass here.

We have decided to extend the Shade and Disciple Supporter packs until the launch of our 3.24 expansion, so you still have plenty of time to purchase these packs. Have a look at them here.

The Ancestor league will end soon and you may be wondering what will happen when it does.

Trial of the Ancestors won’t be going core in 3.23, so here's what you can expect when the Ancestor league ends on PC at Dec 05, 2023 09:00 PM (GMT).

• All of your progress will migrate to the respective parent league of your characters, Ancestor League will migrate to Standard League for example.
• All of your Omens, Tattoos and Hinekora’s Lock’s will still exist in the Standard League however they will progressively become more scarce.
• All Ancestor exclusive uniques will be added to the core drop pool except Warrior’s Tale Crimson Jewel and Honoured Alliance Coral Ring (this change will happen in 3.23).

Those of you still trying to complete your unfinished challenges still have two weeks to do so before Ancestor league ends!
