MODERATORS

Tonight at 8 pm, sprung on everyone at the last minute apparently.

Trump and Elon Musk, X’s owner, are slated to have what the tech titan has termed a “live conversation” at 8 p.m. Eastern Time that will be “unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining!” Musk is soliciting X users to pose their own questions.

Will Trump DeSantis himself? I hope so.

Oh boy.

Anyone know the odds the hard N-word will be spoken by these asshats.

Right? I was thinking the same thing. Two white guys as bigoted, misogynistic and queerphobic as you can get sit down for an unscripted conversation?

I'll almost be disappointed if there are no slurs.

They control the platform so they'll edit them out and gaslight anyone who happened to see it

That won't work. They can't stop people from recording it live.

The thing about the internet is- stuff doesn't go away even if you want it to.

Excellent example!

Doesn't seem to stop them from pretending half the time, but I hope you're right

As a natural pessimist, I am trying very hard lately to not give up hope on things.

Well, depends on how hard someone wants to keep it at least. Without organizations like Internet Archive backing up as much as they can, a lot of the internet would end up permanently lost when sites go down or content migrates hosts and breaks all the old links.

Something tells me Trump making an idiot of himself live on Xitter won't be quite as volatile, though. Or at least not in that way.

Every big news organization will be recording this video just in case something newsworthy happens. Along with a bunch of people who will post those clips on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, you name it.

They will just not be able to make something like this go away if it goes south.
