Yeah. If you read his letter (linked in the article) and look him up on network rail.
He is using government resources to threaten a company into having an engineer disciplined. But that misses some very important points.
The statement that the station is dangerously overcrowded has been published by the ORR government department of rail and road safety. So his statement to the press is a fact.
Given it is the government who make and enforce rules on over crowding and safety. The fact he shared is not a criticism of his companies' client Network Rail. But a criticism of the government and the minister's own department. IE, clearly a matter of political freedom of speech.
and maybe most importantly. Lord Peter Hendys last job. Chair of Network Rail from 2015 to 2023. So if he is write that this is Network Rails fault. As his own words state, he believes.
He is very clearly using government contracts and spending to threaten a private corporation into disciplining someone for criticizing his own career.
Honestly, the level of self entitlement and narcissism is insane. Almost tory level insane.
I have written to my MP expressing my disgust over this. And demanding, he questions the government over its legitimacy in parliament.
I really think every one neds to do so. Such that all MPs see how offended voters are by this action.
