I think you're confusing the PS1 in the ad with the PSOne which came out later and had rounded edges.

Idk about that myself, but I think going off the picture, the way you open beers on it is the "side of a table" method, and in order to have enough room to do so with the table right there under the PS1, the bottles would have to be about half an inch long rather than about 10 inches (guesstimate of beer bottle length.)

And frankly I'm not sure it'd even work, the edges on the pictured ps1 may be too rounded themselves.

Well, no one actually opened any bottles on the PlayStation in the picture, so...

Sure, but "those beer bottles must be tiny" and in response "I think you're thinking of the psone instead of the pictured ps1" both require a similar suspension of disbelief, and so I continued it.

True, true. Carry on my friend

I didn't think I had to explain my quip, but you did it more comprehensively than I ever could.

Besides, I don't even understand the comment you replied to, as swapping in any PlayStation model would change literally none of the stupidity of the image.

I had an original PlayStation (pictured) and I don't remember it being a gargantuan monstrosity that was taller than the average beer bottle.
