Circling back to the content of this post, which supposes that Harris has no faults, I suggest and support critical thinking.
This meme comes from a narrow frame of mind that imagines great differences between foreign policy (where none actually exist) between "sides" and mindlessly upholds a corrupt two party doctrine.
The idea that democrats are entitled to certain votes emboldened Biden to proclaim African Americans aren't "black".
Take a break from mindlessly accepting a toxic status quo. Stop showing establishment Dems that they are entitled to votes no matter how far right they are on policy.
This is what I asked you:
You have answered neither of those things. You just told me how you expected people to think. That was not the question. You brought up actions earlier, not thoughts.
You don't actually have any actions for people to take, do you?
You demand hand holding and spoon feeding.
You would never be a useful ally, but I'm sure you will serve the status quo establishment well.
You are correct. Contrarianism does not require allies.
Allies are needed for people who have plans of action, something you lack.
He has concepts of a plan lmao
Seriously though, fuck the two party system. Vote blue in 2024 and then work to enact ranked choice voting. That's a start. There are a lot of things we need to change (e.g., gerrymandering, corporate capture, legal bribery, insider trading in Congress) but those things will never happen when both parties maintain the status quo.
Yes, both parties. Dems play lip service and then don't do much outside the norm. (To be fair, Republicans don't even pay lip service.) We need actually progressive Congresspeople/POTUS in Washington, and that's not happening without abolishing first past the post.
No. Not both parties.
It's crazy that people like you say that after Roe was struck down. I didn't like Hillary Clinton, but the idea that she would nominate conservative justices that would strike down Roe is nonsense.
And Kamala Harris isn't planning to march brown and queer people into camps. Trump and his people are.
Sure, there are some things the parties disagree on. That's what they use to sow division and keep the system in place. But I listed four things that both parties engage in. These are just some examples of norms that are terrible for our democracy but that will not go away so long as we have this current voting system.
You asked for a plan, here it is: vote blue when you have to but the work does not stop at voting. Get in contact with grassroots organizations and make an actual difference. Or we can just tell people to vote blue every four years and wonder why Americans don't feel represented in government.
"Some things" being a the end of legal abortion the last time and a planned genocide of two groups of people this time.
You are really glossing over that. I guess you come from a position of privilege.
You're really good at sticking to your point and ignoring all else. I've reiterated twice now but you're clearly going to keep ignoring. (While also being sanctimonious.) I've already said we have to vote blue, what more do you want? Just to argue?
Because my point is really fucking important and you're just dismissing it.
Expecting me to just move past what I said because you don't think it's important is silly. You do not control a two-sided discussion.
My point was important too and I even stated it twice. Get off your high horse :)
The point that you made after you dismissed mine, yes. Sorry, that's not how this works.
And this is a really poor way of getting out of the fact that genocides of queer and brown people is really not a big issue to you.
Since you have no plans, your thoughts are useless by your logic.
What makes you think I have no plans? I have plans.
Ok
Let us know when you come up with any. I'm guessing the world won't be holding its collective breath for you to be of any help.
If you think a plan for human salvation can fit in a forum comment, I don't think you should risk any damage holding your breath for long.
I see no indication of empathy or compassion from your collective statements. Only contempt and contrarianism and a lot of ego.
Human salvation? I don't believe you have a plan of any length to help anyone, anywhere, save yourself.
With armchair psychologists of your caliber available at all hours, how are licensed professionals still in business?
Somehow you are able to evaluate total strangers' capacities for empathy and compassion from a few forum comments, it's an incredible ability and you deserve whatever size ego you enjoy from it.
You haven't laid out any meaningful or useful plans yet, so do I have to pretend your words still hold meaning by your logic?
I think you just proved my point re: empathy and compassion.
You seem to have forgotten that you declared unprompted that I was not your ally. Why would I tell you my plans?
You forgot you demanded a stranger spoon feed you the an oversimplified "plan" for the improvement of society.
You, who show equally zero understanding and curiosity regarding easily available knowledge on the Internet of your supposed "knowledge quest."
You forgot your obsession with plans such that anything non-plan can be conveniently dismissed.
I hope you enjoy your "proved point."
This is what you are calling a demand:
If you consider someone saying to you to feel free to do something to be a demand, you are the most irrationally high-strung person I have ever talked to.
Ok
Without more to go on, I will take that to mean that yes, you do consider people telling you to feel free to do something to be a demand and are, therefore, the most irrationally high-strung person I have ever talked to.
Good luck with that.
Ok, here's more to go on:
There is no longer anything interesting about engaging with you further.
And yet you keep engaging with me.
I predict that, rather than stopping, you will reply again, maybe with 'ok,' thinking you'll get the last word. Shall we see how that will work out for you?
What are you, 14?
Did you think of that one all by yourself??
Firat of all, your claim that the original post says that Harris is perfect/faultless, is obviously false. The original post does not make that claim, it doesn't even imply it. So that's a strawman.
Second, your tone of communication strongly indicates a contrarian "holier-than-though" mindset that is typical for teenagers but also people who never grow out of mental self-indulgence. The lack of any sort of substantive argumentation doesn't help your case either.
The original post doesn't idealistically describe Harris??
Your patronizing tone of hypocrisy speaks to an un-loved childhood.
Your inability to recognize a substantive argument is both a personal failing and a projection of your own "contribution" to this discussion.
Obviously people are thinking a lot harder than you. Why do you think you are the first person to realize that the democratic left is actually the rest of the world's far right? Everyone figured that out when they were fucking twelve, so stop believing you are some enlightened philosophical or some shit.
While we here, everyone else has also already realized that third party votes accomplish nothing in the current state of politics. Throw your vote wherever you want, but no party besides rep and dem is getting an electoral so thanks for wasting it. Unless we are all willing to get up, and force the hand of change, that is the reality we all have to live in. Well maybe if you caught up with everyone else you would know that.
Wow, so this has been the basis of human progress so far?
Anyone who participates in society would be a hypocrite to make such criticisms right?
