I mentioned Krita, lol, and even if I hadn't there's no reason to assume GIMP, the most unintuitive piece of software to grace our desktops.

Krita is not a good photo editor. It's missing a ton of photo editing features compared to GIMP or Photoshop. The target demographic is digital painters.

I guess I mostly edit my photos with AI, so Krita is sufficient for my needs, but I take your point.

Krita is an art / painting program. -Not designed for photo editing. It's also from KDE so expected to be buggy: https://www.qwant.com/?q=krita+buggy&t=web

Some of us just want to get work done instead of tolerate and trouble shoot *admittedly buggy foss software.
