Article doesn’t mention it, but I hope the actors were able to retain rights to their voices and acting

Thank you!
If that mean they can remove their voices from the game anytime they feel like it, I certainly hope not! And the I don't know what retaining rights for their voices would mean otherwise.
I certainly hope they get justifyingly paid though!
It might have something to do with studios owning the rights to an actors likeness and voice and using them in perpetuity (and maybe even getting the actor to say and do new things with AI) with no compensation given to the actor. It was a big thing a few months ago but I can't remember what exactly it was about.
The acting is top grade. I have see several big stars who acted in this game for us too. Love this.
Larian studios pays so much attention to the quality of acting, that Nintendo blushes at the idea of even achieving 50% of the results. Same with SuperGiant Games. Divinity Original Sin 2 still blows my mind.
I guess that means the sex scenes too, crazy stuff.
They used different actors for that, not the voice actors.
*Asa Akira has entered your camp...
Pictures of Minsc are a spoiler. I’m still waiting on the Mac version to release and already knew, but I’m sure some people would prefer to remain unaware that our favourite ranger from the original games is back with his miniature gigantic space hamster buddy.
Hate to be the typical Lemmy Linux apologist here, but if you're on an Intel Mac, you could dual-boot Linux just to play BG3 via Proton. The setup would be relatively minimal, free, and it runs quite well that way. I've been only playing it on Linux.
I have the early access and it already runs kinda rough on my 2018 middle-spec Mac Mini so I’m not going to bother trying to run it in Windows although I do have Bootcamp already set up.
Although I haven’t played since patch 6 and I hear there were some performance improvements. I’m a patient gamer usually, but I was a huuuuuuge fan of the original games and was totally impatient on this one. It’s worth the wait and putting up with the rough performance.
That's awesome! I told my wife a couple of weeks ago how this game has some really neat details, like each companion having their own mannerisms, unique walk, things they do while standing around, and stuff like that. Now I know why. What a masterpiece this game is.
