Firefox only works when connected to Mullvad (zerobytes.monster)

Firefox is only able to connect to the internet when Mullvad VPN is enabled. Otherwise, I get this result for any webpage:

Result of searching for any web page without Mullvad VPN enabled

I have tried removing Firefox using AppCleaner to remove additional residual/profile data, and a fresh copy still suffers this issue. Any help is much appreciated.

Neither Brave, Chrome, nor Safari have this issue.
