Even older PCs are now plenty fast enough to run modern games, and new ones are more expensive than ever while our buying power decreases. There was a tinkering sweet-spot with computers that, while it might return, has kinda passed so gamers also aren’t as inclined to build their own machines when consoles exist.
When you combine all that it’s no surprise that selling gaming products is harder to do and is giving a lower return.
