Germans are obscenely and pathetically propagandised. German language news feeds resemble the worldnews subreddit, it's the same level of delusion. On local matters they aren't better but if nothing else the population is slightly more wary when MSM tells them their lives experience is wrong. Just slightly.
On top of that, they're genuinely raised wrong. They're taught their culture revived around learning from their mistakes and making amends, and people grow up with this sense of knowing better than anyone else. I know all westerners have that to some extent, but with Germans it's just ridiculous.
The germanic barbarians were never meant to be unified.
