I hate to say it, but รฐ is likely the wrong character for that sound, you'd be better with รพ. ร is never used at the start of a word, and รพ has a long history in English as being used in abbrieviations for words like "the" and "that" (see "uses" in this article https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorn_(letter)). Your use of รฐ is correct for the Icelandic use of the sound, though, so I absolutely see where you're coming from.

Unless you're using the IPA รฐ, in which case ignore me.

(sorry for the rant, I used to be very passionate about returning รพ to common use in English)

He doesn't understand gender binaries

He probably does, he uses he/him pronouns, but his race simply doesn't have gender, being amorphous blobs and all

Liberal myth that pigs exist for the sake of justice

He was placed in his role by a literal actual fascist general, and only stayed there because his sense of actual justice wouldn't let him let someone else take the role and implement the Cardassian "justice" ("line up 5 random Bajorans and execute them"). This is established very early on and very explicitly. I don't like the police institution either, but Odo is not the right tree to be barking up, and definitely not the right way to say "the Star Trek future is creepy" (He doesn't even work for Starfleet, they just kept him on because he was well-liked in the DS9 community)

I don't see any racist comments at all... A bit confused tbh, there's just you and the other person explaining that LibreSSL seems abandoned.

Edit: The comments on Phoronix, now I get it

That's what it started out as, yeah, but to be honest it's gone way further than that to the point where I, personally, no longer believe WordPress is in the right here. Were they right to assert that WP Engine should pay their piece? Yes, absolutely, and we need more of that in Open Source. What we do not need more of is the insane, spur-of-the-moment nuclear options that WordPress went for the moment they didn't get exactly what they asked for the first time around. I think this video does a good job explaining where we're at now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grZg-BEhKMI

The Laws of Thermodynamics say you will always lose some energy to heat when energy is used to affect a change. I have to imagine this would be particularly so when energy is converted to matter since that's very involved, but I'm not a physicist so I can't confirm that.

Come to think of it, this means that industrial replication plants and shipyards would likely be incredibly hot places, due to the inevitable loss to heat in replicating massive components.

I find it very interesting that the vast majority of people saw a red ball. I did too.

::: spoiler

  1. red
  2. Indeterminate, mostly just an arm
  3. shoulder-length brown hair, androgenous body, hidden face
  4. Like a rubber bouncy ball you'd get in a party bag
  5. wooden, square

Mostly I already knew, but it felt like things were "filling in" as I tried to "remember" the image to answer the questions, especially around the person.
