Taken at the Vancouver Aquarium (Vancouver, Canada).

The Pacific sea nettle (Chrysaora fuscescens), or West Coast sea nettle, is a widespread planktonic scyphozoan cnidarian—or medusa, “jellyfish” or “jelly”—that lives in the northeastern Pacific Ocean, in temperate to cooler waters off of British Columbia and the West Coast of the United States, ranging south to México. The Pacific sea nettle earned its common name in-reference to its defensive, ‘nettle’-like sting; much like the stinging nettle plant (Urtica dioica), the sea nettle’s defensive sting is often irritating (possibly mildly painful) to humans, though rarely dangerous.

The quality of the art, story, and choice options for this title make it a surprise it's free on Steam. I finished it in one sitting and it was a relaxing four hours. There are multiple endings so there's a decent amount of replayability.

While the character creation is bare, the options available are good. Players can choose between a feminine or masculine appearance, then move on to choosing their pronouns and then sexual preferences which drilled down even further making it surprisingly specific.

The story was enjoyable and relatable. It follows the MC as they begin pulling themselves out of depression by taking small steps to take better care of themselves, make new connections, and being productive towards their goals.

I was disappointed that I couldn't play this on Steam Deck due to not being able to use the keyboard to type. There were a few spelling/grammar errors but not many. There were also several scenes that had no music or audio which had me at times wondering whether I muted the game on accident.

I recommend this game to those looking for a light-hearted dating sim about art, mental illness, and getting good at adulting.

Talim’s my favorite fighter as well. :))

When Soul Calibur II originally released, each platform got an exclusive fighter. Gamecube got Link, PlayStation got Heihachi Mishima, and Xbox got Spawn. The HD Online port included both Heihachi and Spawn as part of the roster regardless of the platform you purchased it on. Link was not included in the HD Online version of the game.

I know consciously this happens in many many games but now that you've pointed it out here, it's so glaringly obvious. The use of Taki and Ivy in particular, arguably the most sexualized fighters in the series, makes it even more impossible to ignore.

The industry is moving to digital only on all platforms so doubt we’ll see something like this again. Maybe instead of a CD, using a photo or a sound? Something more generic and less reliant on physical media. The game itself has since been ported to modern platforms but without the CD gimmick.
