I'm not too bad at casual writing but when it comes to sales, especially to sell my skills, I keep feeling like I lack a certain grace or flair with words.

Chat gpt can help with suggestions but I always find anything I write with its assistance feels, well, robotic in a way. Awkward.

So I'm reaching out to you for your inspirational word material out there. English isn't my native language so I'm hoping to improve it further with your suggestions. Authors? Websites? Perhaps eloquent YT creators I can learn from transcribing what they say?

Thanks

I'll start with: medical conditions, everyone would prefer to have an average well known and curable disease than a special case or a unique one

When composing music, how to be influenced by a soundtrack (of films, video games...) without copying?

Andrew Rakich's The Time Machine: Knows how to capture numinous horror, into history enough that he'd do stuff with the protagonist's Victorianness, would probably have thoughts about the book's politics in general, esp regarding a vegan reading, which would be really interesting to see

With the art of glass blowing, is it possible to blow a bauble around a 2-to-6 inch tall figurine?

And if it is, I would like to find someone willing to do so and ship to the US west coast. :)

I've mostly been to forums that favor the latter format so that's what I'm used to (and why I made a group for it that is looking for participants, it's like making more flexible communities within communities, a federation inception), but I was wondering where you would draw the line.

Sometimes I’ll run into a baffling issue with a tech product — be it headphones, Google apps like maps or its search features, Apple products, Spotify, other apps, and so on — and when I look for solutions online I sometimes discover this has been an issue for years. Sometimes for many many years.

These tech companies are sometimes ENORMOUS. How is it that these issues persist? Why do some things end up being so inefficient, unintuitive, or clunky? Why do I catch myself saying “oh my dear fucking lord” under my breath so often when I use tech?

Are there no employees who check forums? Does the architecture become so huge and messy that something seemingly simple is actually super hard to fix? Do these companies not have teams that test this stuff?

Why is it so pervasive? And why does some of it seem to be ignored for literal years? Sometimes even a decade!

Is it all due to enshittification? Do they trap us in as users and then stop giving a shit? Or is there more to it than that?

I have Samsung UE40J5200AW and it has that screen mirroring feature. Whenever I try to use to cast from Windows 11 to this TV, the stream stops after few mins of playing.

I have no idea if Samsung doesnt allow to play full screen videos from casting devices or not. I have tried to connect both PC and TV via Ethernet and see if it will help, but its happening all the time.

Whats interesting it also happens when I cast via my lineage os phone and I checked it on different TV and had the same issue.

Whats your ways to cast videos from PC/laptop to TV?

Hello everyone, I want to buy my first MIDI controller but I don't know if I'm suppose to look for any specific one to use it on linux with LMMS, or just buy any with USB support. Thank you

You know how sometimes in a show or a movie there is a character that has a "radio friend" that they talk to? Yeah that's what I want to do.

But I do not know how to so I came to ask you! Cheap, preferably.

Out of curiosity, I found this app on IzzyOnDroid, (which gave me the idea in the first place) Codec2Talkie that seems to be what I'm looking for but I'm unsure due to my ignorance.

A radio modem seems to be required as the app description dictates. I can find one somewhere no issue. But is this the correct approach? Is there a better way that I don't know of?

What software do you know that uses mythological names for its release (version) codenames?

Hey, something like 10 dogs walk past my home every day and I swear something like 6 of 10 are Bernedoodles. Unscientific, I know but my sister got one too. So, it seems too frequent to be a coincidence.

Does anyone here know why this breed is so popular in the last few years?

My guess: since I live in a conservative place (in the USA) someone famous got one, or said they're great dogs for "patriots" to own. (/smh)

But thanks for any ideas. I searched around but all I got were those BS filled, "What you should know about the Bernedoodle" pages, saying dumb stuff like, "Bernedoodles have quickly gained popularity due to their cuddly nature and lovable personalities". I bet there's something else going on here.

The invidious link bot was great and well-received.

Google are blocking invidious pretty effectively now, but they can't block ghostarchive because it's not on their server

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for some casual games to play while I’m on a call with a friend. I want something super chill that doesn’t require too much focus or brainpower. I’ve tried Shapez.io, but it felt a bit too complex for what I’m looking for. Minecraft vanilla survival is also a no-go since it demands a bit more attention than I want to give right now.

Any recommendations for games that are easy to pick up and play, where I can just relax and enjoy the conversation without getting too caught up in the gameplay?

Thanks in advance!

Are you a fan of one or the other?

I did not put others down such as Papa Johns as I think these two are the 2 most popular of all pizza chains.

Personally from past experience, Domino's is more expensive than Pizza Hut but does offer some alright deals every now and then.

Pizza Hut includes in some places a free salad bar to have at your hearts content before the main Pizza dish and refillable drinks on the side. ( I don't know if Domino's has this as we only used to have it delivered)

I feel you get more options with Pizza Hut and some of the crusts aren't bad compared to it's rival.

Plus, I prefer thr logo and older Pizza Hut building designs compared to Domino's.

What are your thoughts, fellow pizza enjoyers?

Are you a Domino's Demon or a Pizza Hut "The Hutt"?
