Just wanted to say that I was really happy to see the LTT team do right by the Birdie product by removing the clip from their video and posting a better researched short addressing the original videos short comings.

I get a bit tired of the “do as I say not as I do” attitude that comes out of the channel at times, so as per the title: from an audience member to the production team - thanks!

Right now the last video with actual subtitles is from August 15th, more than two months ago, the last Short Circuit with subtitles is from December 23th, 10 months ago, and the last Techquickie with subtitles is from June 2022, over two years ago.

PC jargon, product/brand names, even basic numbers run through Youtube's auto-subtitles come out as basically nonsense. Unless you know what it should be, or you can hear, the auto-subtitles are basically useless. There are clearly services LMG could hire, they get around to using them eventually, but people who are hard of hearing aren't second class citizens, and there's no reason they should wait two months to two years to get access to the same content as everyone else. Given LMG's size there's no reason why subtitles shouldn't be available day one on every single video, except maybe Gamelinked/Techlinked due to the short turnaround but even then I suspect it could be done.

I'm on windows 11, and I use the stock mail client which is great for what I need, I have 4 different email addresses on it and it's simple and easy to use. Microsoft is in the business of harassing its paying customers so now every time I launch the stock mail app, windows will unpin it from my taskbar, install New Outlook, and then pin it to my taskbar. All of this happens without my permission and I have uninstalled New Outlook probably 50 times now. I don't want to use New Outlook, it's ugly, it has ads, and the team behind Outlook clearly all share a single cubicle and have never had to send an email in their lives. Any advice ? This is the sort of degeneration that gets swept under the rug in light of even larger scale degeneration ( The LLM spyware call back garbage )

The "Nuclear Bomb Proof PC" video reminded me that in middle school a classmate brough a piece of lead from his grandap's wrokshop so pure we could mold it.

And we did.

With our bare hands.

Until our finger pips were dirty as if we rubbed them on graphite powder.

Ok but It could't be right...

Let's see:

  • Check

  • Check

  • Check

  • Check

  • Check

  • don't know, don't care.

Mh. Am I being illogical and hypochondriac or should I get checked? If so what should I even ask for?

I mean even with the reduced production schedule they are still putting out more content then most and sheer statistics guarantees that not every video is going to be some masterpiece of a technical deep dive. And that's okay? Like it's not the end of the world or anything.
