Pelaton will begin charging users who purchase a bike second hand a one-time $95 activation fee on top of their monthly subscription fee to use the bike - but only if the bike is purchased through an "unauthorized reseller" (so basically Facebook marketplace). Personally I find this rather I furiating. Pelaton is already collecting a monthly subscription fee to use their bikes. So this is seemingly another shameless cash grab.

As the title says, Microsoft is trying to push this horrible feature out in October. We really need to make it loud and clear that this feature is a massive security risk, and seems poised to be abused by the worst of people, despite them saying it would be off by default. People can just find a way to get elevated rights, and turn the feature on, and your computer becomes a spying tool against users. This is just an awful idea. At its best, its a solution looking for a problem.

The Steve was my favorite. I didn’t get to realize how nice a lot of these products were until after lime day sales since I’m cheap. I’m glad I got as much as I did at least ($1500ish in merch) but between the stealth gear, the Steve, the indoor hoodie, and the CPU pillows all being discontinued, I’m going to really regret not going in more. Thank goodness they didn’t yeet the dropout stuff though, placing an order for another pair of that during WAN show.
