I played Elden Ring for the first time last year and fell in love. I played a few other FromSoft titles and life got in the way early in my Sekiro journey. I just picked it back up about 2 weeks ago and played it every spare minute I had. I eventually got to Sword Saint Isshin and almost gave up.I tried to work through this boss fight in small play sessions as to avoid getting frustrated. I did it with no prosthetics because I was too lazy to farm for spirit emblems and I parried through the last 2 phases. I saw some videos about kiting and baiting thrusts or using the umbrella and that just felt cheesy and I didn't even have the umbrella unlocked. I was eventually no-hitting phases 1 & 2 and often entering phase 4 with 7-8 gourd charges. Phase 4 was sloppy as I only made it there a handful of times. It was harder than any other boss I've fought by a good margin, including Malenia.What a journey. Easily landing in my top 5 games of all time list.

So. . . This jump is in Sunken Valley. I've gotten up there before but for some reason I just keep falling. How do I make this jump? It seems no matter what I do I iust fall.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not on the same level as far as polish goes. The environment inconsistency in particular is goofy as hell (I'm playing a goddamn monkey, but feel like I'm playing a clumsy great ape).But the boss fights? Man I feel like I'm fucking back.It's like the exact opposite of Elden Ring, but in a good way. Elden Ring traversal/mobs/exploration was God tier, but bosses were...good-great.Wukong is mid exploration/movement, but Sekiro level bosses.TLDR: Give it a crack (to the 3 people who haven't already). I'm a Sekiro purist and still found Wukong boss battles keeping up.

I practiced Inner father and was good with him, yet was choking hard in the real fight during bossrush. But I got the skin in the end, 2 more trophies and I get platinum.

The adrenaline is real. I felt like that whole fight I was learning. He probably took me 40-50 tries but I got better and anytime I took damage I knew where I messed up. The rhythm to that fight is insane.

I beat Isshin 3rd try, Genichiro was not too difficult either, but these guys really pack a punch. Their delayed attacks can catch you off guard and break posture and 100-0 you. They feel more punishing than most bosses imo.

I've managed to arrive at this point in the game dying max 4 times per boss (Ape)...I've died already 50+ times to Owl Father. How can one boss kill me more than the entire game.For me this is the hardest Soul boss I've ever encontoured. Way more than anything on Elden Ring (Malenia not included) and IB 01 - CEL 240 in Armored Core 6

Genichiro and Sekiros fucked up ass facial hair. The visible exhaustion on their faces, Isshins battle scars, feels like everyone is an actual person, not a supermodel and they are all the more badass for it. Some other games would focus too much on making their characters look "pretty".
