Dinner tonight is large bowl of fried rice with egg and Chinese sausage aka lap cheong and sweet and sour soup. Yum

I have never had this. It seems like something that would be much better home made than from a cafe.

My mum is an excellent cook

But also I think if you can find an authentic place I’m sure a restaurant could make a good meal

It’s a basic one with pineapple, okra, tamarind, elephant ear stalk, tomatoes, bean sprout, and ngo om. I think that’s it. A full on sweet and sour soup will also have prawns and fish. But this one doesn’t have prawn or fish, unfortunately because when it does the soup is top notch

Yeah I haven’t either I tried to look it up on google and I looked at the image of the vegetable my mum used and that’s what it said. So I went with it 🤷‍♀️ I laughed first before I posted it 🤣

It’s a Vietnamese vegetable called Bac hà.
