I assume you haven't played modded FO4 recently, but I genuinely recommend revisiting it. Modded FO4 has come leaps and bounds.

They haven't really fixed the dialogue design of

  • "yes"
  • "yes but funny"
  • "yes but rude"
  • "no, but actually yes"

Well, they kinda did, but not really at the same time.

Modders haven't fixed the shitty base game dialogues, but there are frameworks to be able to create dialogue options that are similar to how the older games did it. I think this is the mod. Also if I remember correctly the Fallout London devs have said that they worked together with the XDI dev to integrate it into their mod. I do not know how expansive it's gonna be tho.

Yeah, I haven’t touched it in ages. It’s sad that you’d need to mod it to make it actually decent. I’ll need to reinstall for this mod, so maybe I’ll give it another chance.

Are the mods you use transformative? Or is it smaller QoL type improvements that add up to a better experience?

Transformative. Used one of the bigger collections. I think StoryWealth.

It's not Enderal obviously, and it's far from perfect, but it reminded me a bit of New Vegas where you opened a manhole cover, and found the Thorn hidden away.
