This is the official Lemmy for the r/ReligiousCringe***** subreddit. This is a community about poking fun at the religious fundamentalist's who take their religion a little bit too far. Here you will find religious content that is so outrageous and so cringeworthy that even someone who is mildly religious will cringe.

I think it's intentional.
The goal of everything isn't to be "objectively good", that would be a world of boring art. I feel like an English teacher now.
"So, what message do you think the artist is attempting to convey with the makeup style? Perhaps look to hints elsewhere in the photo.".
Sometimes the curtains are just blue.
Sometimes the makeup is just bad.
Using this argument to dismiss any analysis of art or media is pretty fucking boring though.
No doubt the curtains are just blue but part of the fun is theorizing other things the blue curtains could mean
There is nothing wrong with seeing the world that way.
Thinking about things and sharing ideas is just fun. But to your defense, there is nothing wrong with not feeling like playing so I do understand your perspective.
I suppose it becomes tedious for others when it appears you are saying, "Everyone, stop playing!" versus the more benign, "I don't feel like playing today."
Not sure which you are going for but either way, to each their own! I think your comment is unpopular because the tone may come across as, "Everyone, stop having fun!" but I could def be misreading.
Nonetheless, hopefully you have something more fun things to think about now :-)
