TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.
Fun will now commence.

Janeway would willingly jump across the universe if there were a real shortage. That's a badass shirt!
There's a looming chocolate shortage as well π
I won't eat chocolate anyway. There was a John Oliver episode. Don't watch it if you want to enjoy chocolate.
I was happily chomping away on my massive Tony's chocolate bar during that episode. When he started the main segment, I sheepishly put it down and vowed to never buy chocolate again. Then he got to the part about Tony's being one of the only ethical brands and I glanced at the half-eaten bar with relief and gladly scarfed down the rest. It's nice when you don't inadvertently support slavery.
What's the problem? The child slave labor? The monkey slave labor? The massive deforestation?
Yes.
You can just get some more expensive chocolate. Tony's is pretty good, and supposedly has a good supply chain.
That's actually one of the brands he pointed to in the episode as a good example of ethical chocolate
Even they got screwed by one supplier, it was very embarrassing for them.
As Oliver said, even the more expensive brands can't guarantee child slavery wasn't involved. It's just less likely.
Our whole western existence was created from pain and suffering in the rest of the world. Letting a TV show ruin chocolate for you seems misguided.
I can choose whether or not to support an industry that relies heavily on child labor just for the purposes of self-gratification and I choose not to.
I wish Kate Mulgrew would do more voice work. I get she doesn't want to do work in front of the camera much anymore but her work on Infinity Train was amazing.
She's been doing voice work on Prodigy.
I still think she'd make a great admiral janeway appearance for something
Has anyone tried robusto yet? Supposed to be more climate change tolerate.
Imhoβ itβs fine in βmilkβ drinks. Lattes etc
But not great for black coffee; think Folgers
That's disappointing to hear, maybe I'll have to switch to tea...
I'm not the biggest coffee snob, but I legitimately love chicory. It's a great substitute, it has cool history, and it doesn't make me crap my pants! Lol
Lol I see that as a feature, not a bug
She looks like my mom now.
