Got off a red eye flight with my family and my kid said he was hungry, so we agree that I'll get some breakfast stuff with my kid while my wife gets the baggage.

Leave awkwardly holding two coffees and bags of pastries. Everything is fine until we get to the escalator, and here's where I fucked up.

I helped maneuver my kid's suitcase onto the escalator and then because it looked like it might fall over, stepped onto the escalator after it. This would have been fine EXCEPT my kid doesn't like to get on an escalator by himself. So while I began to descend the escalator with the bag, he stayed at the top calling after me, increasingly distressed.

I began running up the escalator the wrong way, still holding the two coffees and now the suitcase as well. I had almost gotten to the top when I slipped, spilling my wife's hot coffee all over the escalator and jamming my knee into the razor-sharp edge of the escalator stairs. Fortunately a kind gentleman helped my kid onto the escalator as I scrambled around the moving, coffee-covered stairs. What became of the other coffee, you may ask? That one was accidentally spilled by my son on the floor where I was sitting a short time later, bandaging my bleeding knee, soaking my butt with coffee.

Long story short, I'm now lying in bed icing my fucked up knee. Fortunately I found some old percocets in the medicine box. The moral of the story is that America must be destroyed

What symptoms can I expect?

The U.K. genuinely has some of the best historic preservation of railways in the entire world. Just take a look at this Wikipedia list of heritage railways! Heritage lines are dotted all over the country but that isn't even the best part, which is the British love of little trains :comfy:. There are little railways everywhere. Every seaside town seems to have some sort of miniature railway, and little railways dot the countryside. Look at this list! And better yet, because the railways are so ubiquitous, many young people are becoming involved in the railways and continuing on the grand tradition.

In conclusion, while the mainline network may be run by a bunch of capitalist vultures, the little railways of Britain provide a wonderful opportunity to see a full-sized adult comically operate a tiny train.

It really just seems like fearmongering about things most marginalized people go through everyday. Im mostly just typing this out for myself, but I'll gladly read any replies. No promises I'll respond but I'll at least see it cause im fucking constantly online.

Am I depressed? Yes. I work 70 hours a week, and my gas is still gonna get shut off since i don't get paid in time to meet the minimum. I cancelled a date tonight because the idea of having to have 1 on 1 time, even with guaranteed sex, fills me with anxiety and get my heart racing in a bad way. I don't even feel like touching my partner anymore. It feels too much like an expectation to me, something I just kinda do to make them happy. I used to have a high drive, but it seems to have just disappeared over the last few months like a switch was flipped. No change in my brain meds (Lexapro and lamotrigine), hopefully seeing my psych next week.

I have no desire to do anything these days, and everything seems like way more of a chore than it should. By "these days" I mean as far back as my ADHD ass brain can clearly remember. So less than a year but more than 6 months.

Fuck me. I’ve been making my payments, it’s literally 6 months from being paid off. I called all the towing companies nearby and nothing. Now I’m gonna have to deal with cops and insurance and AAAAAAAA.

Has anyone had this happen before? Like does insurance normally pay for a rental?
