My PC has Lockdown Mode enabled, auto connect set not to connect on startup and split tunneling set for a virtual machine. VPN on the host is by default disconnected to prevent any internet connectivity. Any internet access is done in the virtual machine only. The idea is to protect the data stored on the host and isolate potential threats inside the VM which exclusively has internet access on the PC.

Once a few days or weeks I connect the host to the Internet just only to download and install updates (after reviewing there were no reported issues on latest updates).

However somehow the host OS sometimes manages to check for updates despite no connection.

In the settings app, Windows Update section, it displays "Last checked: <today, few hours back>".

When I manually check for updates Windows says it is unable due to no internet connection, as intended.

How is this possible?

• Search across all servers

./mullvad-bench

This will ping all servers and save the output to bench_results.csv.

• Search across servers in a specific country

./mullvad-bench -c <country-code>

Example: ./mullvad-bench -c sg

• List all available countries

./mullvad-bench -lc

• Set a timeout for ping

./mullvad-bench -t <timeout>

Example: ./mullvad-bench -t 1s

• Specify output filename

Just wondering if anybody else is having this problem? When I use a browser with split tunneling enabled (or disabled) it doesn't find the website. When I disconnect from Mullvad it loads perfectly fine.

I have double-checked that split tunneling is enabled correctly for the version of Firefox I am using.

I switched from PIA almost four years ago, at a time when Mullvad was being praised (and continued so, until around this year) to be the top privacy and decent performer in this space. The last few months - though - have been terrible. I don't know how many times a day I need to switch exit points, and how many name resolution or pure reachability of sites fails, at least on the US servers. I am not torrenting, so I am not sure how that [still?!?] works, but from the pure stand point of a VPN service, at least on macos, I feel like Mullvad is singing its own swan song ...

Mullvad subscription on App Store on Apple is 5 USD, not 5 EUR. My App Store region is USA. Does anyone know if that's the same in other regions? It's actually cheaper to pay it using Apple Pay on my phone than paying on website using PayPal! Does anybody know why

Hello everyone, I have an Ubuntu desktop server running on a local server based on Proxmox. The problem is that if I connect to Mullvad VPN locally, I can connect, but from external IPs, I can't. For example, this Ubuntu VPS is shared with a friend of mine who cannot connect. We use port 3389 for remote desktop connection. Is there a way to bypass this issue?

Hi all,

Noob here, I have a small homelab setup which I started recently and I want to configure Wireguard container in proxmox which has Mullguard configuration. I tried to find any tutorials online and they are all just focusing on setting up Wireguard only or it tries to configure in the Linux OS rather than a container.

So, I want to install a Wireguard lxc on proxmox and then configure Mullvad to route the traffic of homelab or a single container if required.

Please share any information or blog to follow the guide.

Firefox is only able to connect to the internet when Mullvad VPN is enabled. Otherwise, I get this result for any webpage:

I have tried removing Firefox using AppCleaner to remove additional residual/profile data, and a fresh copy still suffers this issue. Any help is much appreciated.

Neither Brave, Chrome, nor Safari have this issue.

Good morning! Since yesterday, I've only been able to access repository.mullvad.net through the VPN. When Mullvad is disconnected, I get an error saying "Could not connect to repository.mullvad.net:443 (45.149.104.1), connection timed out". This makes every apt update take a really long time. 😅 When I'm connected to Mullvad, though, I can reach the repository just fine.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? What could be going wrong?

When I turn on MullvadVPN and run brew update, it shows this error:

However, the issue is gone if I turn off MullvadVPN.

I know this is a big current topic as the majority of VPNs do not support Windows on ARM. But it would be great if mullvad supported Windows on ARM.
