I haven't read her stuff, though as a Sci-Fi geek who loves history and majored in English, taking almost every pre-Victorian Brit Lit course that was available (interesting as multi-disciplinary texts, AND never full when I needed to register!) I'm adding The Heavens to my list now. Without reading a single word, I feel very confident she's a step or thirty up from Kevin J. Anderson.
