Does anyone else nearing their mid 30s or older feel like hangovers and "hangxiety" lay them out more than they did in their 20s? (hexbear.net)

I was bordering suicidal this morning due to some of the dark feelings I felt. Slowly coming away from that now, but still feel like hangovers just destroy me now

Could be metabolic byproducts. Alcohol breaks down into acetaldehyde, which then breaks down into acetate. Acetates are used in lots of industrial processes, so that taste might be reminding you of industrial stuff.
