and it is something I love and always dreamed of doing. I asked for 4 months and got it. started working 10 days before the deadline, and now I have 5 days left. wish me luck.

It's called JIT (just in time) manufacturing and it's a legit management technique...

JIT manufacturing helps organizations control variability in their processes, allowing them to increase productivity while lowering costs.

And that's the totally real reason why i do it in my personal life. ๐Ÿ™„

Sometimes the deadline is like the only motivator to do the thing, if that is not enough the fate of the task was probably decided anyway.

I'm pretty good at excuses to extend deadlines. Also great at excuses why it just shouldn't get done at all, and I never wanted it to get done anyway

But by extending the deadline, I have to stop working again, until it comes close.

If you set the deadline early you can remember you set it early and keep procrastinating past the deadline as usual!

You got this. Adrenaline is fuel for the fire.

Near the deadline is ok, right? right?

[โ€“] [email protected] 6 points 4 weeks ago

Hey, I either finish near the deadline or I get stress locked and can't stand to look at the project for several months!

Meds do help in my case. My issues was not procrastination so much as id procrastinate and then forget about it.

Meds help me remember to do things and stay more organized but they don't make it super easy, just easier. I think the biggest thing is they make me feel awake. Before meds, i always felt like i was tired. Probably because my brain was always in overdrive.

Feeling awake helps motivate me to get stuff done.

I'm using amphetamine salts or generic adderall

I am on wellbutrin and medikinet. I cannot be sure but I guess not much. I should have been able to start earlier.
