Didn't they March in with victory day parade attire in their backpacks instead of a second round of ammunition, or rations?

Said or unsaid, even if the war was going exactly as planned, it's a shit war that's executed poorly and will destroy the Russian economy and likely end up losing everything they took, even Crimea.

Are you serious?

Work is fun in Germany, and one of the few occasions where fun is culturally permitted.

Efficiency and Precision are the children of Fun and Joy after all.

You seem to be unfamiliar with law enforcement

While I wish Biden did more, he did get a ton of fantastic policy through.

Anything that helped the people too much was stymied by Manchin and Sinema (arguably the list would continue with centrists peeling off from Democrats) and the supreme court.

Hopefully a landslide win happens and meaningful legislation is quickly passed. Bringing gov't programs up to speed for helping the middle class would probably cement democratic leadership for at least a decade

Honestly, that's a much more respectable sum than what politicians usually get bought for, especially considering how profitable the payout for bought politicians are.

Still absolutely vile that it's legal, or that people can be bought without consequence. But finding out they were bought for a couple grand donation is saddening.

What a stupid comment.

OP was illustrating the effect of total media control and propaganda, the local culture it generated with the loss of local resources, poisoned land, and jobs shipped overseas.

Yes, it's sad that people were able to be brainwashed over generations with 100% captured media giving people a false culture built on lies and deceit.

It's also sad that people who come to a revelation that they have been taken for a ride, they no only have to accept they were wrong for a large part of their life, responsible for voting to make it worse, and would likely lose their friends/family by rejecting the false narrative that's been embraced locally.

Even if you hate these people for their situation, you'll still have to deal with them as voters and members of the population. Hating/confronting them will only push them further right.

We really need to bring the country together, and remove the us VS them mentality the wealthy use to divide us.

You are coping out by literally writing off half your country, refusing to understand the problem, don't want to address the root causes, and have no interest in resolving the issue.

Do you have any kind of plan aside from blaming the others for all the problems? Because that's exactly how the wealthy maintain the status quo.

I get the initiative to help red states, but democracy also works where if your an asshole shithead who makes sure their state is run by asshole shitheads, then you live in an asshole shithead state.

If blue state voters want their tax dollars educating red states, yay democracy!

If blue states want to spend that money on themselves and watch as Red states become horrible places to live, yay democracy!

The only downside is that federal budgets will continue to help red states. We need someone at the top willing to play the Republicans game and deny red states everything until they come crawling back, or use all those private business tax free profits to replace the shortfall.

I quite like chicory in my coffee, but I find it also upsets my stomach a bit

Otherwise, I enjoy it in my instant coffee!

I also pretty much only drink instant coffee so don't take my opinion too seriously 😅

Pretty sure the user giving you grief is AI, you didn't say anything wrong.

War is never 100% clean from any side.

You underestimate how retard-angry Republicans are.

All someone has to do is call that carrot woke and it'll get legitimate death threats by days end.

Thanks, I got it from a hair dryer

So my parents got scammed last night, fraud case is open but it's likely not gonna go anywhere and they'll be out 10K - they know better and now they really know better, and I'm hoping to get some advice on a repayment strategy.

They absolutely don't have that kind of money and repayment will take a while.

Plan one is just put it on the mortgage, but they're currently locked in at a lower rate for 2 more years, so adjusting that isn't ideal if it changes the rate. If not, adding 10K to mortgage is no brainer.

Line of credit does carry lower interests, but it will accrue daily, credit cards are high interest, but interest is racked up monthly.

Would it be possible/smart (assuming +10K credit card capacity) to move LoC debt to the credit card for 25 ish days a month to avoid daily LoC interest, and then send the debt back to LoC for 5ish days (transfer time) and have the credit card at $0 at the end of every month? No credit card interest and far less days for LoC debt to accrue interest?

Obviously there is risk in not having the credit card paid off in time, but would this strategy be viable if properly executed?
