The problem is that, by now, asking that question cannot be viewed as sincere, it is the constant tool used by misogynists to take away any conversation about women's rights/issues.

Is there a time and a place for that question? Yes. Was this post that time and place? No.

Ok, hear me out, yes, written Galician is understandable by any Spanish speaker, but spoken Galician can sound really alien to Spaniard. I never forget one day watching in the TV the street reporter interviewing someone and I thought they were foreign until I suddenly caught a word, they were a Galician speaking Spanish with heavy accent! No way I would be able to understand that person if they had actually spoken Galician πŸ˜…

As per the article information, yes, of course, MadrileΓ±os are despised everywhere in Spain, if you live somewhere where they are not despised, is because they haven't visited yet.... (As with any generalization, there are som wonderful people from Madrid, not ALL of them deserve to be despised, but the majority....)

Here, boys, girls and everyone in between, we can see a textbook example of a strawman fallacy; you made up a scenario that is not the one being discussed, then you assigned OP a reaction to that made up scenario that you cannot know if it is true -as that is not what OP is reacting to- and that made up position is what your comment is criticizing.

We don't know OP's reaction to men in lampshades because that is not what we are seeing in the picture, we are seeing two women dressed as lampshades, so, as long as new, different pictures do not show up, OP and me will think that Palo Alto treat women as objects, we might change our position if new information goes out, but for now, that is what we have to judge.

And -before you try it again-, no I would not think it is OK if those were two men, neither if those were a man and a woman, or a kid and a parent or two grandpa's or two grannies... Should I keep making up scenarios so you can focus on the one at hand? Or is this enough?

Read the whole article, still don't know if it is a PowerShell script that creates a backdoor, a PowerShell module that has a backdoor, a tool that uses PowerShell to gain extra access or an actual backdoor in PowerShell's code... Awful reporting.

This is one of the best visualizations of this issue. I regularly think back at this comic, awesome!!

And, again, this does not negate the fact that Richard worked hard to get his degree and worked his company's ranks. It should not be about pushing down the Richards of the world, it should be about pulling up the Paulas, and strive for a world were everyone is a Richard [relating to the comic, not all white men or we would be doomed ':) ]

I was going to say that I preferred them to stay in Sri Lanka, at least they would not become more soldiers for Putin... But moving there and then creating "whites only bars" 🀦, yeah, Sri Lanka is right in kicking them.

Haven't you read all those concerned emails? OP's web design is great! πŸ˜‚

No, but it is leaving behind the fact that the surge in anti-semitism is not directly related to the Hamas attack, but to the disproportionate and genocidal response by Israel.

Before anyone accuses me of supporting any of that, I am not excusing that surge in anti-semitism, it is stupid (to say the least) to attack Jewish people no matter your gripe with the Israeli government, but I think that an unbiased piece should have included as main reason of the surge the Israeli actions instead of making it look like the Hamas attack was just the first one of a series of coordinated attacks worldwide.

Then what? Do we sterilize autistic people? Blind people?little people? Asmathics? People with ADHD? Alergies? Other races? Less than average IQ?

I am not even discussing the outraging comment you made, even if you accept that, where do you stop then? Where you think it is acceptable enough? "Wait a second! Not people with allergies, I have allergies!"

We don't have to prevent people with dysphoria from being born, we need to create a society in which people born with dysphoria can feel comfortable at every moment (not just when they "don't look like trans") and can have easy and free access to anything they need (therapy , hormones, surgery...).

You ask me if I have read "Mein Kampf" and I ask you: "would a 17 year old Ukranian in 1943 have read 'Mein Kampf'?"

I repeat, how much of what you said would a 17 year old Ukranian know in 1943?

You are using 2023 information to criticize a decision made by a 1943 teenage farmer. Would I ever join the Nazis not matter who they were fighting against? No way! I agree with you, but we are not talking about me.

That's my only point, to look at them on a per-case-basis and judge their actions, because they truly were between a rock and a hard place (I am not talking about Spanish, French, Italian, German and any other that joined the Nazis, this is very specific to Ukranians and maybe some neighbouring countries).
