You gotta love DPRK for stuff like this. They have nothing to gain from trying to help Palestinians and a lot to lose. Absolute respect.

uncritical support for the DPRK in its heroic struggle to liberate occupied Korea from the genocidal American empire

It’s wild to see some of these stances. Like, I’d love it if more countries thought to help Palestine ever. But I’m baffled when a regime that is giving Russia munitions to kill Ukrainians does it. Is this a "broken clock" sort of thing?

North Korea is like one of Palestine’s few real friends in this world. They’re both completely blockaded and condemned by everyone. Even those who support them are either too weak to do anything materially, or they’re in realpolitik mode. Even though Cuba is in a similar position and one of the few good countries in this world, they still have a ton of diplomatic and material support so they have something to lose if they get too out of line.

North Korea no doubt seeks geopolitical gains from helping Palestine, but I can’t help but think they see themselves in Palestine’s struggle and help them out of ideology and solidarity as well.

North Korea is unapologetic in its socialist line, history will absolve them
