Yeah actually it seems that SawStop is being very disingenuous with this where they're trying to lobby for this "safety" bill to be passed that makes it so only they can sell table saws. If they really cared about safety, they should make the patent free for all to use like the 3 point seatbelt
SpaceX owner Elon Musk said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the storm put his Starlink satellites that provide internet “under a lot of pressure”. A spokesperson for the European Space Agency (ESA) said the Starlinks had voltage spikes.
Capitalism breeds innovation
Pulling out of NATO might be the most brain dead political stance I've ever heard. Anyone who honestly believes such an action would be a good idea is either a literal traitor or a moron of the highest order.
I'm proud to be a traitor to the US empire
EA (and to some extent Valve) is also well known for profiting very heavily off of getting people addicted to gambling in the form of loot boxes. Also EA's former CEO said that they should capitalize on gamers in the heat of the moment to charge in-app transactions, like pay $1 to reload your magazine mid-combat in Battlefield. They're also notable for charging tons for DLC. Overall just very money hungry and gross.
Valve is not very good at censoring profitable fascist games from their marketplace (which goes in line with Gaben and his freedom takes). Valve also takes like 1/3 of the price of the game for themselves, which is pretty high, especially for indie game devs who don't yet have many sales, and given that they have a de-facto monopoly. They also tried really hard to break EU and Australian law and not allow for refunds on games beyond very limited circumstances. Their work culture is also notoriously sexist and transphobic.
I think Valve is probably the lesser evil of game companies but I think that their reputation is much much better than it should be given all this shit. That being said, as a enjoyer I'm happy they are trying to get gaming on Linux working better, even if it's just for their own selfish interests.
Here are some of my favorites:
Caffeinated, just tea:
- Dragon tears (Chinese green tea)
- Assam
- Darjeeling
- Oolong (not familiar enough with different types to give recommendations)
Caffeinated, tea + other things:
- Rose petals + black tea
- Genmaicha (Japanese roasted rice + green tea)
- Earl Grey (esp Sadaf brand)
- Masala chai
Non caffeinated (i.e. not technically tea):
- Korean buckwheat tea (I drink this stuff all the time)
- Mint (just steep dried mint)
I'm sure that will come, with Meta so deeply invested in outsourcing fact checking to state department ghouls
I highly recommend getting an instant pot or sth and cooking dry beans - it'll pay for itself pretty quickly plus there are lots of really good recipes with it, esp Indian food. You can probably find one on Craigslist/marketplace for like $30-40 esp if you're patient
