Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi is officially backing Vice President Harris to be the Democratic Party’s nominee, an endorsement that came one day after President Biden announced he would no longer seek reelection.

The endorsement from Pelosi — who remains a towering figure in the party — is significant, since the California Democrat played a key role in pressuring Biden behind the scenes to rethink his decision to remain in the race. Pelosi held back her support immediately after Biden stepped down and offered Harris his backing, but offered a full-throated endorsement Monday.

On one hand, nice because donors listen to Pelosi. On the other, read the room. It's time you fuck off and retire too.

Nancy Pelosi, age 84 and running for re-election to Joe Biden, age 81: "You're too old, you need to drop out of the race!"

My guess is that everyone is backing Harris, the remaining announcements are just there to draw out the news to milk the news cycle to her advantage.

Going back in time to try and stop world war 1, thus preventing a series of events that made the 20th century the bloodiest in human history ❌️

Going back in time to get sucked dry by Nancy Reagan ✅️
