Can't you change those multipliers when you create the world? Haven't played it on very long time so maybe I am confusing it with rimworld and the likes.
Although the pixels specifically seems to be exceptionally bad compared to others. I absolutely hate it on my pixel 7 but my mom's nothing phone seems to be much better but still not as fast/reliable as the dedicated sensor on the back or side.

I did see a lot of news about nvidia drivers this year so things might have improved quite a bit. I have a laptop with 4050 and it seems fine for the most part running nix but I haven't done anything outside gaming.
