man what a fucking show. it was incredible. i loved the art style, the story telling, the world its self was so fucking cool. i didn't see a TV show board on here so i figured i'd post here. anyone check it out? one of the best pieces of scifi i have ever seen. it's also genuinely terrifying, which for a cartoon, is impressive to me. i've never been scared by a cartoon before, but seeing these weird ass alien life forms that are completely unpredictable just gets me i guess

Been seeing a lot of people hating on what the protest marshals did during the pro-Gaza protests at the DNC and I feel they definitely did the right thing. Instigating stuff like going up against the cops under the guise of “revolutionary” action just gets a lot of people arrested and doesn’t accomplish anything.

EDIT: Users who were present at the protests have said, counter to what is claimed in the screenshot, that the protest marshals did NOT call for the police. Thank you for clearing this up, comrades!

I woke up almost 3 hours earlier than usually, and pretty much immediately had to start going off on my doctor about my lexapro. Chilled for a while after, did small things around the house, napped, and just got back from a not-quite-practice sesh with the bands drummer. We mostly just hooked my amps up to different speakers and played with different gain pedals to get good tone for recording.

I dunno, things have just felt....off all day. Sitting in the twilight with the corgi rn and the feeling still hasn't gone away.

As many of y'all know, I'm looking for a job right now, new housing and transportation situation and all that. Well I got a call back from a shitty nursing home to be a cook and the person that called was a total bitch, but I scheduled an interview for 9:30 today. I woke up at 7:15 this morning to get ready for the interview. Shaved, got on my cutest dress, everything I could do to make myself comfortable with this interview. Turns out there was no interview. It was all just so I could fill out a paper application. Paid $4 each way to get there, and I'm probably not even going to hear back. I'm so fucking pissed right now. Like holy shit why even waste my time?

could anyone give me any advice as to how to create a new resume? i'm having a lot of trouble with doing so because i have a very rough history with jobs ( quitting without notice many times when i was much younger ) and also because i've been unemployed for 2 years now. I know that lying is something i'm going to have to do to make myself seem more employable and so i don't get heavily interrogated, but i really just don't know how to fill in the gaps without making it seem suspicious. I'm not very good at lying and i'm autistic so all of this has been very difficult for me. i'd love to know if any of you have been in the same place as me and if so, what you did. any advice would be much appreciated!

I just saw this video, and realized how much misleading this guy is. Blud just made up his own definition for "jatitva", lmao, which according to him is the formation and rigidification of caste identity, when it reality, it is more like the brotherhood.

And this particular video is so full of shit, like for example, it denies folk and tribal religion identity, and their own practices. Source? I installed it out of curiosity, and God damn, this is the worst form of social media yet. It seems like it's designed to accomplish two things: keep me scrolling, and eventually make me depressed. It's basically paralyzing to use.

I didn't make an account, so I guess its a bit like looking at the front page of YouTube, which is also terrible. But out of all the social media I've used in my life tiktok seems like the worst because of how much it sucks you in, and the type of content on it. Runner up is Instagram, but I deleted my account there years ago and never looked back.

Call me a boomer or w/e, but this shit melts your brain even more than everything else already does.

I went from being a happy kid that smiled all the time, enjoyed drawing and had several friends to a pathetic adult with no talents, passion, creativity, friends or a job. Just a worthless and unlovable failure. And recently it's gotten so bad that I've started cutting myself and contemplating suicide. I just don't believe I have what it takes to get my life together, sadly.

I've been trying to find more people IRL to chat with, even if online, and I actually found a person who I clicked with who seemed to share my sense of humor and references to old media. It was nice while it lasted but, I don't think he was interested in the long run. I guess I just want to share this because it gave me a moment where I started to understand what I was looking for in people who I want to make friends or date. I want to find people who are have the same nerd/geek interests and humor as me but are also a bit chill or even a bit positive. It was such a new experience for me, I guess. It feels a bit exciting. I hope I am able to find more people like that in Florida.
