The earlier Evangelion movies titles are shown to use Meiji era Katakana.

What set of English subtitles should I be looking at to use with the 2015 Japanese Blu Ray release? There are a lot of English releases over the years, but are there any that I could basically just drop in without needing to figure out syncing?

This video helped me feel less confused after I finished the TV series.

I'm making my own edit of the tv series into movies similar to rebuild. Im curious what other people would want from an edit like that. What scenes do you want cut, what scenes must stay as is. Any change to the order of things shown? Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated!

This is how live action anime adaptations should be done.

Very top is 'NEON GENESIS EVANGELION III' It has 'Good or Don't Be' on it which I really wanted. Top left is 'Best Pieces' which is not technically an Eva CD but has 'A Cruel Angels Thesis Version '96' on it, which I wanted in high quality. Top right is Evangelion Finally. Bottom left is 'Birthday of Rei Ayanami' and has a weird version of the op that is like a rock Version with Rei's VO singing. Lastly is NGE II which I wanted for Thanatos.

S2 Works has NGE II and III in it but the other three have songs it doesn't, so I haven't got S2 works.

Randomly stumbling across the Rebuild of Evangelion movies on Prime Video rekindled my love for anime after a hiatus of 20 years. This track, which is played at the end of the last movie, in the same way was the trigger for me to seek out more Japanese music.

This version is also performed by Yoko Takahashi. I like this version a lot too.

This is off of a CD released by Yoko Takahashi, called 'Best Pieces'. This version is super chill and one of my favorites. It is not on Spotify, I recommend getting the CD if you would like a high quality version of it.

I watched this and it gave me a newfound appreciation for Anno and the production of Eva. It is pretty long and mentions a lot more than Evangelion but I do recommend it also as a way of understanding what Anno was thinking through the creation of Eva .
