To me that was Bayonetta way back in the Smash 4 days, we were lucky that Ultimate launched 2 years after her release, and even then i remember a lot of people quitting the game because of her, in the last 2 years of Smash 4 she was in almost every tournament.

Leroy Smith in Tekken 7 in 2020 probably comes close, there was an infamous tournament with 6 Leroys back then.

My discord hosts a casual lobby for SF6 every Thursday at around 7pm EST. We invite any and all skill levels to join us. I love playing retro fighting games, like the ones mentioned in the title and I wonder if Fightcade is still the best option online play? I can get the steam versions, but whenever I read reviews, people say that online play in these is basically a ghost town.
