Charlie from Semiaccurate has claimed to have done an investigation into Intel’s 18A process.

From the article, he concludes that concerns regarding Intel’s 18A process seem to be misplaced. Here’s what he had to say:

“Nope. Other than the dividends, budget cuts, and executive departures, weeks of hunting this all down ended up shooting it all down.”

“As you may recall, SemiAccurate was the first, and for years only site that was screaming about Intel’s 10nm problems, with data. Only after it became undeniable did other climb on board. SemiAccurate also called Intel’s potential for outright failure in 2019, again long before anyone else did. We have a long track record of calling Intel’s problems and their successes because we do the groundwork and research rather than parroting back random idiots on the net.”

took a risk back when it was on sale for 160USD/200CAD around june/july 2023.

mb is gigabyte x570-i, and cpu is 5600x. it is in a sandwich-style sff case and the ssd is on the back of the mb right next to the backside of a 3080.

crystal disk info:

speed(disk is about 80% full):

im not a ssd enthusiast so i cant tell you what the pictures mean. nothing went wrong during this period, and i hope it holds up for another 3yrs or so.
