Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company. Intel designs, manufactures and sells computer components and related products for business and consumer markets.

Intel supplies microprocessors for most manufacturers of computer systems, and is one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets found in most personal computers (PCs). It also manufactures chipsets, network interface controllers, flash memory, graphics processing units (GPUs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and other devices related to communications and computing. Intel has a strong presence in the high-performance general-purpose and gaming PC market with its Intel Core line of CPUs, whose high-end models are among the fastest consumer CPUs, as well as its Intel Arc series of GPUs.

The information comes courtesy of tipster HXL, who posted what appears to be an official Intel slide detailing the specs of its Arrow Lake-S CPUs.

Slides claim that the Core Ultra 9 285K Is faster than the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in content creation.

Sadly, multi-threaded performance is a different story.

Intel is raising eyebrows in the server processor market with pricing for its latest flagship Xeon 6980P CPU, part of Intel's new Granite Rapids family. Listed at $17,800, it is the most expensive modern CPU in history. In fact, Intel's pricing for the Granite Rapids lineup is notably higher than previous generations – and, as Tom's Hardware notes, is higher than AMD's EPYC Genoa 9654 offering with 96 cores, which costs $11,805.

If he decided to buy Team Blue, Huang would still have $13 billion in change.

$139 per core.

E-cores also run faster than P-cores during heavily threaded work, but that’s by design.

You'll have to recognize the symptoms of a dying Intel chip yourself, as Intel doesn't have a tool for it yet.

This should mostly affect enthusiast-grade cooler designs where every degree of cooling dissipation counts

Is this the future of consumer AI?

Arrow Lake is right around the corner.

Multi-core results suggest at least some Arrow Lake chips will have a more aggressively cut down power limit.

Panther Cove is one of the furthest out P-core CPU architectures being designed by Intel

Asus, ASRock, and MSI have '0x12B' downloads ready just days after Intel’s announcement.

This is a welcome change of pace for Intel.

Earlier this week it was Qualcomm, now its Arm's turn to sniff around Intel.

An Intel graphics card from the upcoming Arc Battlemage series has appeared on Geekbench for the first time. Although its performance score aligns with mid-range GPUs, its VRAM capacity, exceptionally high clock speed, and lack of detailed specifications raise significant questions.

The sale of a 12.87-acre site is expected to raise $12 million.

GN got a chance to document and tour around Intel's new Arizona wafer fab🎥🤔

I'd also recommend checking out Asianometry's channel for additional details on the semiconductor manufacturing process

0x12B might help reduce instability after you get it.

But it's too bad that Intel had to turn to TSMC to make its chips competitive.

There's plenty of headroom for more powerful GPUs in the line-up, too.

According to a report from Jon Peddie Research, dedicated desktop GPU sales rose significantly in the second quarter of 2024 for everyone except Intel. Although the market is up overall, share didn't change from last quarter.
