I'm pretty sure getting exactly or over 100% of the vote is much more likely in a fascist government than it is in a democracy.
Is it possible for parliamentary members to abstain from the vote? Why did nobody do it?
Yeah but there would be consequences and a few dissenting votes wouldn't change the predetermined outcome but would probably come at the risk of harm of yourself and your family
This sounds exactly like George Orwell's 1984.
