How do I get fishing xp? (beehaw.org)

So, I need to get a larger fishing bar but totally suck at fishing. Can't buy the training rod because its not in the shop. How do I grind fish xp?

Try going after carps. They’re available all year and even found in places like the sewers (if you’ve unlocked that already). https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Carp

I font have sewers, currently tryna get rusty key because I heard of the grandpa evaluation (am definetly not getting the iridium printer)
