That asteroid was just minding its business, not decimating any life anywhere when they shot it.
That's the equivalent of shooting a Chinese person today because of pearl harbor.
Why would I shoot a Chinese person for what Japan did in Pearl Harbor?
Why would you shoot this rock for the damage one did 66m years ago?
