Why the obsession with apps? Apps are pushed by companies because they can show ads regardless of installed ad blockers and because they can harvest more data about you to sell to advertisers. Because of this they've been progressively making the mobile web worse for years now to force people onto their apps.

But it doesn't need to be that way. Mobile websites can operate just as effectively as mobile apps and I think this website is a great example of that. I for one would love not having to click "no, I don't want to open your website in your stupid app, that's why I opened it in my browser" every time I visit a website on my phone. It used to be that way. I'd love to see it that way again, and this site is a step in the right direction.

Gesture and touch controls in general are much smoother in app compared to web browser.
