Anyone planning on doing this mod? I've got a box of "broken" controllers I'm looking to bring back to life with this kit.

Looks neat! Except then it wouldn't work with the n64 itself anymore, right?

Not necessarily. If you get a Blue retro adapter you'd be able to pair it like any other Bluetooth controller
