How is this different from just sponsoring them through the normal immigration system? Is the process being expedited or something? Genuine question.

I know a bunch of Mexicans in the refugee process. My understanding is that these humanitarian visas will be expedited, at the expenses of the usual ongoing visa application process. Some Mexicans have been here over a year without getting some of the documentation that comes from claiming refugee status.

The fact that BarBurrito is allowed to call itself Mexican food is evidence that more Mexicans are needed in Canada. That place makes Taco Bell look authentic. I feel sad just thinking about the one time I ate there.
