Was going to post some more new content today but I'm getting a JSON error message every time I try to upload an image. Any idea what's up?

Honestly? I've no idea what might be causing that issue... I'd try to upload an Imgur link instead, maybe that'll help.

There's likely an upload size limit set in the instance by the admin.
Instead of displaying the error message, it complains about JSON, that's a big in lemmy itself.
The size limit is a per-instance setting configured at the admin level.
Either try a smaller size or host/link it elsewhere.
Allowing big files had potentially huge effects on storage costs for your admin, limiting it somehow could make a lot of sense.

this was it. Hadda shrink file sizes considerably to get them to load, but that was the ticket.

To the best of my knowledge, it's related to the server version. I'm not enough of a tech guy to understand the reason behind that though.
