I assume this is because Chelsea would offer him ludicruous wages and assume (possibly rightly) that we wouldn't dare match them.
Maybe. But I know which team Iโd rather play in.
I remember that Ugarte used to be their first-choice instead of Caicedo, so why not we make Ugarte our second-choice?
