Hello,

I'm looking for a ZigBee keypad and RFC tag for my alarm. I'm using zigbee2mqtt and alarmo. Any suggestion ? Thanks !

Thanks ! Do you use it with alarmo ? How is the battery life time ? Do you succeed to get battery information via zigbee2mqtt ?

I don't use it with Alarmo but it would work just fine if I understand how Alarmo functions. I installed it 6 months ago and it still reads as 100% (though who knows how accurate that is). It does require some beefy batteries though so I tend to believe it. The battery reading is coming through Z2M.

Hope that helps! Here's a helpful thread about getting it working and setting up RFID tags (I used old Nest Secure tags with no issues).

The only decent keypads I've found are z-wave and made by Ring, unfortunately. There's an HA blueprint for them at the bottom.

Why a keypad? I use a GROW R503 fingerprint reader to arm and disarm. Works very well with HA on ESP board. Cheap and effective, for multiple users and if you want you can save all your fingers.

I couldn't find one that made me happy and finally decided to forget physical arming and disarming - I use companion app location (home/away) and automations to arm and disarm. All exterior doors have presence sensors near them and when armed home if presence is detected near a door it can be opened and the alarm is disarmed. I haven't had an accidental trigger so far.
