/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

The answer is obviously Evil Kirk.

No, not Mirror Kirk. Evil Kirk. Jeez, people. Watch your TOS.

It's all about that gold trim.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago

Even Mirror Kirk didn’t do “Aye, girl!” eyes.

An evil copy of Captain Kirk, drinking and roaming the corridors of the Enterprise.

I’ve got a mirror universe one for tomorrow. Featuring gold trim.

Can't believe he doesn't have a goatee

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

Ah yes, men with eyeliner, that old-school visual shortcut for "evil dude".

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

You know he's evil because of the black waterline

[–] [email protected] 24 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Pike looks more dignified and his shade is just more beautiful

Kirk looks streamlined and ready to mingle

Disclaimer: I come from all, I have never watched any startreck except when walking by the TV and it was on.

Welcome! Hopefully you stick around. A lot of the memes you don't really have to know a lot about trek so maybe they'll make you chuckle.

Nice, glad to have you, every thing we serve here is glowing green or blue, even the tap water.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

idk, but blue tap water isn't really scaring me all too much to be honest :P

Glad to have you. You should be warned though that this crew has already sucked in meme-lookers into watch the show and becoming fans.

As I was sucked in by the kid across the hall with a colour tv back in 1965, I can attest to the risk of wondering “What’s that pointy-eared guy doing with his hand on that monster?”

How does Kurtzman have more money than every other Trek producer combined and still get the color DEAD WRONG like that?

Kirk is the clear winner here, he fills out the perfectly tailored uniform. Archer looks like he need to eat something.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I think it’s the lighting. Pike is in the shadows (compared to the other two), and that makes the color look inaccurate.

I agree with you on Kirk, though. He really makes it work for him.

Gotta be Kirk.

Something about Archer's character never seemed fully Captainy.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

He just wasn't Federation-y. But he was working on it

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

Archer looks like he's missing part of his Kermit the Frog costume.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Kirk. Pike’s undershirt ruins the look, and Archer just doesn’t fill it out the same.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

Yeah, I don't know why they gave Pike a modesty panel lol

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

Shatner is a great actor but you can really tell he used to be TV's 'We have Marlon Brando at home'

I am biased, but I'd say Pike wins this. I think it is also a really unfortunate shot of Archer here. It looks terrible on him, but it may be the way he is kinda hunched forward.

No contest. Kirk by a mile.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Kirk. He is a canadian man with a powerful canadian torso.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

It's always Archer. What a fucking boss.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Pike is committing a Federation fashion faux pas by wearing two deltas on the same tunic.
