It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

360 Wh is a little scant especially for a single speed bike...

Tempting but I heard these guys like to use proprietary parts and no gearing is a deal breaker for me

The Yamaha CrossCore RC is on sale for a limited time/stock at $1200 right now.

I was looking at those but when I tried to add it to the cart it still said it was like $4,000+

Is there a coupon code for those or something? There were a couple nice Yamahas supposedly on sale, including one with an extra battery.

Not sure, but here's the promo page: https://www.yamahabicycles.com/promotions/

Bonus 5 years warranty and an extra battery, after registering the bike. Pretty solid.

I just put together one of the ten speed variant of these last night and rode it to work this morning. I was surprised by how much I like it so far.

I'm in a pretty hilly college town and had been riding a used 2019 Specialized Como that had been gifted to me. I had a very minor accident on it that cracked a shockingly narrow strip of aluminum that functioned as the motor mount. Any amount of torque made the crack expand and cause chain such. My mechanic called me to tell me it was unrepairable. His tone was so somber he sounded like he was giving me the bad results from a biopsy or something.

Anyway, that bike was my main vehicle. I had built my whole school and work schedule around being able to bike and I had to find a replacement fast.

The v3 seemed to be the best option for my very limited budget. Assembly was straight forward and I think it looks great. I was concerned about the motors power, but I made it up the hills on my ride to work without even turning the assist up half way.

Ride felt great. It honestly felt better than the Como which surprised me given the price difference. It was also really nice to be back riding something so much lighter than that fucking como. That thing weighed a ton.

So far so good.

seems like a great value. not enough torque for me, and single gearing is a bit rough of limitation. But overall seems like a good product.

It says there's a single speed and a ten speed variant.
