Will they be exchanged with ruzzia? Or does Ukraine have to trade them with NK?

As soon as the first NK soldiers get captured it'll be interesting who will ask for their release. Interesting especially on the political side of things. And what happens if noone asks for their release?

I think South Korea will take them and even intervene if North Korea or Russia tries to. The South Korean Government is always looking for ways to gather intel and generally re-patriot North Koreans. Many northerners still have family in the south that were separated by the war and indeed (IIRC) SK is technically still at war with the NK as there never was a peace treaty signed.

They might. Of course in practice South Korea tends to return North Koreans back to North Korea if that's their desire, e.g. if they only wind up in South Korea by accident: https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2024/10/103_168797.html

The other bit is that South Korea does not accept criminals - those get denied and sent back to North Korea even if they beg to stay.

And with NK joining, it can become a sort of proxy war for SK too. Especially now that they’re trying to position themselves as a larger arms supplier. Gives them a good excuse to provide Ukraine with more weapons. Maybe test out some of the stuff they’ve been sending and licensing to Poland.

Yes, this is exactly what South Korea needs to do. Show the world that they're on the side of the good and the just.

Odds are low that Russia or NK will want them back, and after being treated better as prisoners of Ukraine than they were at home they might seek asylum.

Much the same as when North Koreans defect to, or are captured in some way by South Korea. Literally all they have to do is feed them three meals a day and they never want to go back.

Stick it in Kimmies eyes and send them to South Korea.

There's a possibility south korea will take them if they capture any.

As if Russia or NK give a shit about their soldiers…

NK will happily take them back. And throw them straight into the gulag, of course. If they don't shoot them right away.

No one knows. At the moment the world isn't even sure whether to acknowledge that NK has become an official war participant or not.

Well they need to. That's the actual reality, like it or not.

So far the world has been pretty good at ignoring any sort of red line over the last couple years alone, let alone the last 10.
